Terms of service.
Who you are contracting with
NextRound is operated by Apurva Sehgal & Haardik Gupta, a Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts (GbR) established at Newtonstr. 11f, 12489 Berlin, Germany. In these Terms, “NextRound”, “we” and “us” mean that partnership, and your agreement is with it. Its full statutory details are in our Impressum.
Acceptance
By creating a NextRound account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What NextRound provides
NextRound is a job search management tool that helps you track applications, prepare for interviews, and organize your professional stories. It is provided as-is without warranties. We may modify or discontinue features with notice.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use NextRound. You may not use the service for any illegal purpose.
Your content
You own the data you enter into NextRound. We don't claim any rights to your application records, stories, or notes. You grant us the right to store and process that data to provide the service.
Cancellation
You may cancel your account at any time. Free accounts can be deleted from Settings. If you have a paid Pro subscription, you can cancel it any time from Settings and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Yearly plans
We may offer yearly plans. Where a yearly plan is available and you buy one, it is paid once, in advance, for twelve months. Your credits are still granted monthly across that term rather than all at once, and each month's credits expire at the end of that month. If you cancel a yearly plan, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the twelve-month term you have already paid for. You keep full access until then, and your monthly credits continue to arrive each month until the term ends. Cancelling does not shorten the term, and it does not entitle you to a refund of the remaining months, except where required by law or under the withdrawal right described below.
Credits
Credits included with a plan are granted monthly and expire at the end of each month — they do not roll over or accumulate. Credits bought as a one-time top-up do not expire, and remain available to you even if your subscription ends and your account returns to the Free plan. Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts, or refunded once spent. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the credits it funded may be removed from your balance.
Refunds
Paid subscriptions — monthly and yearly — are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days and we'll review it in good faith. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal (such as the EU or UK), that right is not affected by this policy; where you exercise it, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided, including credits you have already spent.
Limitation of liability
NextRound is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you — for example by email or an in-app notice — before they take effect. Continuing to use NextRound after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Germany. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
